I am a second-generation, biracial Korean American based in Philadelphia. I received my master’s degree in social service from Bryn Mawr College, and I am currently working towards my PhD in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh with a focus on improving mental health equity for Asian and Pacific Islander (API) diasporas. My background has been a mix of clinical and research positions in the mental health field, which has deeply informed my perspectives and therapeutic lens. I believe in affirming, inclusive, and liberatory approaches to partnering with my clients to achieve their goals.

My clinical training has been eclectic, including cognitive therapies (CT-R, CBTp), motivational interviewing (MI), and psychodynamic approaches, and I am always exploring new therapeutic modalities to enrich my work. I believe that our identities and experiences make each of us unique and finding a therapeutic approach that aligns with your needs, values, and preferences is an essential part of the therapy journey. In all cases, my style is person-centered, relational, trauma-informed, and culturally attuned.
