(He, Him, His)
Jackfruit Project Psychotherapist & Consultant
LCSW, MSS, MA
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in West Philadelphia. My therapeutic approach is relational and psychodynamic/psychoanalytic and I have additional training in Harm Reduction Psychotherapy. As a former academic, my clinical thinking is heavily influenced by queer theory, feminism, and social & critical theory more generally. My writing on topics including sexuality, sex, identity, activism, HIV/AIDS, and film/media can be found in a number of peer-reviewed journals. My clinical experience is wide-ranging but I have a special familiarity working with issues surrounding sexual and gender identity, sex, life transitions, and substance use, particularly with those for whom conventional recovery models (i.e. 12 step fellowships) are not a good fit.
