As a child of two Vietnamese immigrants, I have some hands-on experience of holding love for my culture and the weight of 1st generation expectations and disappointments.  My personal experiences have taught me the importance of holding space and the incredible power of storytelling. I have graduate training in marriage and family therapy and utilize multiple systemic approaches and narrative therapy.  As a clinician, my professional experiences vary, I’ve worked in hospitals, justice systems and in-home mobile therapy.  In each experience, I’ve focused on the importance and power of stories. I am actively pursuing a doctorate in human sexuality with a specialty in sex therapy. The other ways I choose to spend my time include cooking, playing board games, listening to music, or playing my oculus.
