I am a Philadelphia-based Clinical Social worker.  I received my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Pennsylvania and my LSW shortly after. I am a queer, 1st generation, Tamil-American woman from the DC area. My professional and educational focus has been centered around developing skills that will allow me to better serve community members’ individual and collective needs in a culturally-focused, trauma-informed way. I am passionate about collaboratively healing intergenerational trauma within immigrant families and families of color, who are often left out of conversations and research around mental health and community building. I believe that it’s impossible to separate our individual and community experiences from the systems and structures we are operating within. Therefore, I use a person-centered approached, grounded in collaboration and liberation.

I believe the therapeutic space can be a place of experimentation of self and others, where we bring in art, music, dance, or other creative elements from one’s own background to explore and navigate various aspects of life. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, live music, and spending time in parks with friends!
