Free AANHPI Virtual Mental Wellness Seminar – Reclaiming Desire: AANHPI Sexuality, Shame, and Healing

April 9 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

AANHPI bodies carry generations of silence around sex, desire, pleasure, and safety. For many of us, sexuality has been shaped not only by family and cultural expectations, but also by racism, exotification, colonial narratives, and the pressure to be desirable in the right way to stay safe, loved, or accepted.

This seminar explores how AANHPI individuals can reclaim erotic agency, heal from shame, and build healthier sexual and relational lives. Using a trauma-informed, ACT-based, and diasporic recovery lens, we will examine the messages we inherited about sex; the ways racism shapes desire; the difference between fetishization and healthy interracial intimacy; and how to cultivate authentic desire in our bodies and relationships.

Participants will learn practical tools to support sexual healing, build relational safety, and reconnect with their erotic selves beyond shame, silence, and stereotype.

This seminar is free and open to the entirety of the AANHPI community.
