Hi, thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Andy and I am a Philadelphia-based therapist that works with individuals, couples, friends, and families. For me, therapy is like a collaborative gardening process. Together, we study the garden of your life and set goals about what seeds you’d like to plant, what flowers you’d like to grow, and what weeds you’d like to prune. We might work together to nurture your innate self-worth and build upon your existing personal strengths. Or, we might emotionally process past traumas and develop sustainable coping strategies. As co-gardeners, we tailor therapy to meet your unique needs and mental health goals.

I believe healing happens when people have safe, supportive relationships that they can be emotionally vulnerable in. To that end, I strive to cultivate a processing space that feels non-judgmental, warm, and encouraging for clients. Most of all, I try to offer therapy that feels human. I combine this human approach with my knowledge of clinical frameworks and techniques, so that I can support you in reducing suffering and improving life satisfaction.

While I am educated and trained to work with a wide range of issues, I do have specialized experience and training with sex therapy, couple and family therapy, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, sociopolitical trauma, grief and loss, and identity development.

Outside of therapy, I can often be found gaming with my cousins, eating Vietnamese food, and exploring creative hobbies.
