About Me:
My name is Augustine, and I am a first-generation South Korean-American currently living in Philadelphia, PA. I am entering the final year of my Master of Social Work (MSW) program, with a concentration in social justice and a deep commitment to advocating for the empowerment of marginalized communities facing systemic oppression.
As a first-generation Asian-American, I’ve personally navigated the complexities of cultural
identity and assimilation. These experiences have shaped my passion for promoting cultural
humility/compentency, fostering community self-advocacy, and embracing intersectionality in all aspects of my work.
I am passionate about supporting individuals who are navigating trauma, anxiety, and
depression. I firmly believe that mental health challenges are deeply interconnected with the
lived experiences that shape our identities. Because each person’s journey is unique, I prioritize individualized, client-centered care—there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing.
My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care and a strengths-based framework. I strive to build a collaborative and compassionate therapeutic relationship, where we can work together to address your needs, build resilience, and create meaningful change in the ways you desire.
My goal is to offer a safe space for us to strategically develop a plan to empower you to progress toward your goals with self-compassion.
