About Me:

I was born and raised in South Jersey and have been a resident of Philadelphia for a few years now. I love to wander around the city exploring, trying new cuisines, and getting involved in the community in ways that align with my interests and hobbies! I care deeply about human rights, social justice, and advocacy, and hope to always provide a safe space for my clients to express individual and systemic hardships they are experiencing. I have experience and interest in working with South Asian, MENA, and Muslim populations, as well as immigrants and children of immigrants, refugees, and all marginalized populations, who balance the complexities of holding multiple identities.

I am currently enrolled in a Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program here in Philadelphia, with hopes of graduating very soon! I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College, and hold a Masters in Communication Disorders, Bachelors in Health Sciences, and Bachelors in Psychology from Stockton University. I am trained in Psychodynamic and Systems Theories but love to integrate other intervention styles that best fit the needs of clients. I am particularly interested in integrating non-Western and more traditional styles of psychotherapy, with styles such as Liberation Psychology and Feminist Therapy  as I believe the work we do as therapists deserves a decolonial approach.

My therapeutic style is warm, inviting, and nonjudgemental. I believe everyone has unique life experiences, and like to help navigate conversations to explore patterns, better understand these experiences, and help process through them as they relate to current lives and difficulties.  In working together, I hope to emphasize strengths, understanding of the self, and empowerment!
